Meet a whole crew of Bay Area authors at the annual Children's Fairyland Book Festival! The historic Oakland theme park will host dozens of children's authors for this full-day event, with their books on hand for signing and activities to engage the youngest of readers. I'll be there with Rocket Ship, Solo Trip, a make-your-own-constellation activity, and of course, all the planets!

We'll build rockets together, explore the solar system, and celebrate the wonders of space exploration, surrounded by the history of how far we've gone so far. Rocket Ship, Solo Trip is all about celebrating the big firsts of life's littlest explorers, including first-day-of-school excitement and jitters. We'll blast off together to count down the last few days before that big elementary school start date! Mission patch stickers on the house!

Super excited to join the fun at the Chabot Center's monthly First Fridays event! I'll have a table from 6 - 9pm, at which I'll share moon-themed crafts to explore the natural satellites in our solar system, and do a Rocket Ship, Solo Trip story time at 7pm on the lower level in the Touch the Sun room.
